The View fans were left shocked after frontman Kyle Falconer punched his bandmate in an on-stage bust up during their first comeback show.
The Dundee trio were set to perform their sold out show at The Deaf Institute in Manchester on Wednesday night but the gig descended into chaos.
Footage taken by fans shows the moment lead singer Falconer tries to swing for bass guitarist Kieren Webster, who was celebrating his birthday. He appears to land a punch on his face as Webster recoils.
Falconer is held back by guitarist Peter Reilly and other stage crew and can be heard saying "I'll f****ng kill you." It is not clear what started the fight.
In a separate clip after the incident, Falconer is performing an encore of Face for the Radio before he stops and tells the crowd Webster should come on to finish the set.
Fans can be heard shouting at Falconer and he tells the audience: "The problem with this band is he wants to sing the songs and he canny, right, so I'll see you later."
Crew members try to intervene and stop him from leaving the stage but it is understood he left with several songs still to be played from the set list.
Disappointed fans who waited years for a comeback gig were ordered to leave early, with many now calling for a refund.
The Dundee band have now announced they will not perform this evening at Oslo Hackney in London. They are also scheduled to play at TRNSMT this summer, alongside other music festivals.
One person said: "I think I’ll pause buying the academy 2 tickets then."
Another added: "Having just purchased tickets for Cambridge in November I'm not convinced we'll be going now..."
A third wrote: "I'm in total shock. It was mint, too. Don't know what the f*** kicked all that off but Kyle has serious anger issues to go from 0-60 so quickly. Ruined a class night."
A fourth said: "Well looks like @viewofficial reunion is pretty much over and done with then."
A statement released by the band's management said: "Unfortunately, we are having to postpone tonight's London show.
"Our promoter is working to resolve the situation. Please keep hold of your tickets for now & we will make a further announcement in a few days. Massive apologies to all our fans."
Greater Manchester Police confirmed they were not called to the incident. The Record has contacted The Deaf Institute for comment.
