The View executives reportedly want Joy Behar to retire from the ABC talk show after weeks away recovering from a painful on-set injury.

The 84-year-old host has been absent from screens since October 1 after dislocating her shoulder when she "caught a heel backstage" the day before, despite claims that the star will soon return to the programme.
