As you might imagine, a lot of work has gone into FourFourTwo's Top 100 footballers of all-time list over the years. It's a labour of love that needs regular attention.
The standard of the modern game gets nudged higher every passing year, and that means new candidates for a coveted spot in our Top 100 list to be considered.
Any player with presence in this list is rubbing shoulders with the greatest humans to ever kick a football. It will be given a fresh review after the 2026 World Cup, but for the time being, it's set in stone, and that's given us the opportunity to have some fun and test you, our readers.
