Three Welsh burger joints have made it onto a list celebrating the UK's best burgers that are definite additions to your foodie bucket list. The Top 40 list, put together by stag party organiser StagWeb, features burgers from 40 different restaurants around the UK and are judged on a number of selling points: the burger itself, the venue and its glowing reviews.
And while Wales has a great number of options serving the American delicacy, the three that have been named by the list are pretty good options. Read more on Hills, the burger restaurant in the middle of nowhere attracted customers from across the UK.

The three mouthwatering Welsh joints that made the cut on this UK wide list are South Wales based eateries Grazing Shed, Smokin' Griddle and Hills Brecon.
Read on to see why...
Grazing Shed
StagWeb commended this Cardiff restaurant - which was crowned as number one burger joint in Wales in 2016 - for their 'Super Tidy' burgers, saying: "They’re impressive, they only use locally sourced ingredients, and they’re damned good for grazing. And from all the excellent reviews, it seems that their loyal customers agree, too!"
For their bucket list pick, they chose the 'Truffle Shuffle', made up of two "6oz Welsh beef patties, smoked bacon, chorizo, jalapeno-infused sour cream, red onion confit, ketchup and lettuce."
They added: "The Truffle Shuffle may sound like a dad dance super move, but it’s actually a juicy, stacked, perfectly balanced burger with the ideal meat-to-heat ratio, making it a hard one to beat. Seriously, once you’ve tried this, the burger game changes… FOREVER!"
For the veggie alternative, Veggie Hula Hula (mozzarella, grilled pineapple, spicy mango sauce, Boom Boom mayo, lettuce) took the biscuit.

Smokin' Griddle
Swansea, Cardiff and Essex-based burger joint Smokin' Griddle was described by this Stag-do company as "food porn at its finest". If that doesn't sell it to you, we don't know what will.
Their top pick is the 'Signature', whose beef patty is complimented with stateside bacon, a hash brown and cheese.
Here's why: "This signature special is cutting no corners. Sack off that diet because no diet is worth missing out on this. And no matter which burger you decide to indulge in, you MUST get a side of Smokin’ Griddle’s homemade Dunkin Cheese sauce. You won’t regret it!"
As for their vegetarian pick, their 'Sweet & Spicy' plant-based patty won their hearts.

Hills Brecon
They dubbed themselves as having the "best burgers ever", and it seems they may be right. StagWeb, having heard "a lot of noise" about this Brecon-based establishment, were very impressed by the meat feasts being served up in the hills of the Brecon Beacons - but it's not all meat; they recently won the award for best vegan burger in the UK. Read more on that here.
Their (veggie) Korean BBQ Tofu Burger made the burger bucket list alongside the 'Chips & Gravy Cheeseburger' - about which they said: "Gravy, cheese and chips… taste nice on my lips!” The classic dish of chips and gravy seems to have travelled down from the north to this Welsh burger gaff and has been given a mighty makeover! This burger/gravy combo is simply outstanding. Dive in, you won’t regret it!"
