We all know the feeling. The flash in the rearview mirror, the quick check of the speedometer, and then the anxious wait to see if we were in the wrong and over the limit.

Naturally, law-abiding motorists will be flash-free on their drives, but less careful drivers do get caught out. Now a freedom on information request from WalesOnline reveals the police force area where the most camera activations take place.

Car Lease Special Offers sent FOI requests to police forces in the UK, to find out which speed cameras were catching drivers out the most. As well as revealing which areas were causing the biggest amount of speed camera activations between January 2019 - March 2022.
