Two places in Wales have been named amongst the UK's best spots to break your morning fast. Crwst in Cardigan and Gin & Juice Mumbles in Swansea are included in a 32-strong list highlighting the best cafes and restaurants throughout Britain in which to enjoy a morning coffee and a breakfast of champions.
Breakfast - and brunch - has, over the last few years, become a popular mealtime at which friends can meet for a catch up, gossip and much-needed bite to eat. And with it, has come a love for brunch and breakfast menus - and extensive ones at that.
Across the country, cafes specialising in the mealtime have been popping up over the last decade, while already established places have introduced new specialist breakfast menus with more than just toast and porridge. For more what's on stories, sign up for our newsletter here.

Cafe and bakery Crwst, which has items like a harissa halloumi burger, brekkie pancakes and turkish eggs on the menu, has a glowing review from Guardian writer Genevieve Fox. She wrote: "Brunch is the ticket at this bright, trendy Cardigan craft bakery. The Full Welsh Brekkie includes Crwst’s signature beans and a cockles and laverbread gratin, the halloumi is made locally, and the blow-out Sausage & Egg McDoughnut is filled with melted cheese."
Meanwhile, the picturesque Gin & Juice, which overlooks the sea and is run by the family behind Cardiff's Coffee Barker, Rum & Fizz and sister Gin & Juice, was described as this: "Live it large with parmesan and truffle eggs in Gin & Juice Mumbles’s spectacular rooftop conservatory. Overlooking the genteel Mumbles seafront, sip your Nutella latte and take in the winning views of Swansea Bay."
Rooftops Eggs Benedict, smoked streaky bacon brioche or classic avo toast, this cafe gives you a stunning view, an indulgent coffee and a top notch brunch. To see the full list of breakfast cafes, follow this link for the full The Guardian article.
