The 'tucked away' Nottingham suburb which is one of safest in the city

Residents living in 'one of the safest places in Nottingham' say they love living in the "tucked away" suburb on the outskirts of the city. Thorneywood, located next to St Ann's, has one of the lowest crime rates in the city, according to figures.

Of the 33 neighbourhoods in Nottingham, Thorneywood had the 30th most amount of crime reports - with only Wollaton Vale, Wollaton Park and University Park, Lenton Abbey and Jubilee Campus reporting less. According to data released by CrimeRate.co.uk, which uses police force data, the area has a crime rate of 66 per 100,000 people.

For people that live in Thorneywood, they say they feel very safe there, despite a few problems in years gone by.
