West Ham United and AC Milan have recently been linked with transfer interest in signing Polish international centre-back Jakub Kiwior from Italian side Spezia.
The 22-year-old, who joined Spezia last year from Slovakian side MSK Zilina, was credited with interest from the Hammers and defending Serie A title winners AC Milan by Italian outlet Calciomercato. They claimed that David Moyes’ side are keen on the defender, who made his debut for Poland earlier this year and submitted a bid of around €10million (£8.4m) to Spezia to sign him, whch the Italian club reportedly turned down.
However, football.London understands that the reports are wide of the mark and that he is not a player currently on West Ham’s radar. Kiwior has made 25 appearances since joining Spezia, primarily playing as a defensive midfielder, although he had made three appearances, including his debut for them, at centre-back.

The Hammers are in the market for a new centre-back at present and have submitted an approach to sign German international Thilo Kehrer from Paris Saint-Germain.
West Ham do have four centre-backs at the club at present. However, Nayef Aguerd is ruled out until mid-October with an ankle injury, while Craig Dawson is currently sidelined with a thigh issue and Angelo Ogbonna is still making his recovery from a cruciate ligament injury suffered last November. Those injuries have led to Ben Johnson partnering Kurt Zouma at centre-back for the Premier League defeats to Manchester City and Nottingham Forest in the past eight days.
The Irons have already signed five players this summer for around £100m so far. However, none of the five have started either of the club’s two Premier League outings.
