Elon Musk has publicly endorsed a claim that his estranged transgender daughter, Vivian Wilson, played an indirect role in reshaping American politics, agreeing with a social media post suggesting that without their family rift, Kamala Harris would now be president and Donald Trump would never have returned to the White House.

The remark appeared on X on 31 May and quickly reignited scrutiny of Musk's long-running dispute with his daughter and the political path he has taken in recent years.
