The Traitors' Amanda Lovett stuns in festive snap after weight loss and £7.5k facelift

The Traitors star Amanda Lovett looked incredible as she posed in a festive snap.

Lovett, 57 - who was a fan favourite on the first season of the BBC show - shared a snap in front of a Christmas tree, wearing a velvet green shift dress, which showed off her recent weight loss.

The Welsh reality star has also been open about getting a facelift, a procedure which cost £7,600 and took between four to five hours to complete.

“I noticed my face and neck were just getting saggier and saggier,” the mum-of-five told The Sun in June.

“I started to think about needing to wear a scarf or polo necks just to hide this area of my body that I didn’t like.

“But then I thought, why should I do that when there is help out there that can sort this issue out and take the years back a bit?”

She added: “I think cosmetic surgery used to be so frowned upon for people my age, or seen as something vain or only celebrities do, but it’s not. If a woman wants to go and do it, while feeling good about herself, then why not?

“We all need to be holding each other’s crown and encouraging each other to do what it takes to feel confident again.”

Before opting for the facelift, Lovett had been undergoing facial threading, a non-surgical procedure designed to lift sagging skin and stimulate collagen production to look younger.

But Lovett didn’t find the procedures - which cost around £500 to £650 per session - to be long lasting.

The star also said it didn’t take too long to recover from her facelift, and she was soon back to social activities.

“It takes time to heal, but I was back going out with friends after three weeks,” she added.

“Now I haven’t got a scar or anything. It’s absolutely amazing.”

Lovett was a Traitor on the first season, and writing for the Mail last year, she revealed why it took ten episodes for the Faithfuls to become suspicious.

“My secret weapon was that none of my fellow players suspected that I, a 55-year-old mother of five and grandmother of six who quickly became everyone’s confidante and shoulder to cry on, could be capable of being so duplicitous,” she said.

“It took until episode ten for them to suss that while I may have been the matriarch of the group by day, I was a ‘murderer’ by night. My gentle, caring persona was the perfect disguise.”
