The Titans released Robert Woods and he sure seems happy about it

Last offseason, the Los Angeles Rams parted ways with a fan favorite: Robert Woods. They traded him to the Titans for a sixth-round pick after adding Allen Robinson in free agency, a move that upset a lot of Rams fans.

The Rams gave Woods a say in where he landed, but a year later, it doesn’t sound like his time with the Titans went as well as he hoped. The Titans released Woods on Wednesday, freeing up $12 million in cap space, and the wideout’s reaction was telling.

He immediately tweeted “Free!” and asked followers on Twitter where he should go next.

Woods had a frustrating season in Tennessee, only catching 53 of his 91 targets for 527 yards and two touchdowns. He averaged a career-low 9.9 yards per reception and his catch rate of 58.2% was the second-lowest of his career.

Woods was an important part of the Rams offense during his five seasons in Los Angeles, totaling 367 catches for 4,626 yards and 23 touchdowns. Might the Rams consider bringing him back?
