If you've ever wanted to own an Airbnb in Greater Manchester, now could be your chance. Airbnbs have been on the rise over the last decade as a more private and often cheaper alternative to hotels. Not only that, but Airbnb owners are often able to pay off their mortgage quicker with the income made from renting out their property for short or long-term stays.
A small house in Ramsbottom, Bury has now come on the market - and estate agents say it would be a great purchase for an Airbnb rental home. The end-terraced property is going to auction this month with a cheap guide price of £40,000, which is considered a bargain in comparison to the average house price across the region.
Located on Spring Street, the one-up one-down house sits in Ramsbottom town centre just a short walk from supermarkets, boutique shops, bars, restaurants and the picturesque East Lancashire steam train line - making it an ideal location for an Airbnb.

Tiny in size, the property has limited space with the layout consisting of just a kitchen downstairs and one bedroom with a fitted wardrobe and a bathroom upstairs.
At the moment the house does not have a living area, with the only place to sit being a small table with two stools in the kitchen.
Estate agents Pearson Ferrier say it is essential to view the property before bidding.
The listing advertising the house for sale on Rightmove reads: "An end terraced property located in Ramsbottom a short walk from the centre. With the property having an abundance of local amenities it would be ideal for owner occupiers, buy to let investors or someone looking for an Airbnb investment."
It added: "With its proximity to Ramsbottom centre it may also suit being used as a commercial property subject to change of use.
"The property is gas central heated and double glazed and comprises an open plan living area, bedroom and shower room.
"There are good public transport links to Bury and access to the M66 motorway."
The house is for sale via Pearson Ferrier Auctions starting Tuesday 15th November. Bidding will take place on the Pearson Ferrier website and you can register to bid now.
The auction is a traditional auction with exchange on the winning bid and completion taking place within 20 working days from the auction unless stated otherwise. Buyers are advised to check the legal pack before bidding.
