Tottenham's transfer dealings came to an end on Tuesday with deadline day marking the end of the 2023 winter window.
The Lillywhites secured a transfer of their own in the form of Sporting Lisbon full back Pedro Porro, who joins on a permanent deal. There were also a few outgoings too with the likes of Djed Spence, amongst others, departing.
However, there are a few players that failed to seal a move away from the club and allowing for a switch to some obscure leagues, they are set to remain at Tottenham without the real possibility of any first-team football.

football.london takes a look at their various situations:
Davison Sanchez
Davinson Sanchez drew plenty of plaudits for the increased consistency of his performances this season for Tottenham yet his future at the club could still be decided by the offers that arrive for him. The Colombian has been at Spurs for almost half a decade now, having arrived in the summer of 2017 for a then club record £42m from Ajax, but with his inability to consistently remain in the starting XI, a transfer move was expected before his contract expires in 2024.
With the defender only featuring in six matches this season, a move away from the club in the winter window would have seemed the ideal option. But, after staying at the club he will now have to work his way back into Antonio Conte's good books.
Japhet Tanganga
Japhet Tanganga only played 66 minutes of football for Tottenham during the first part of the 2022/23 season with opportunities limited under Antonio Conte. Opportunities just haven't been there for him this term with Cristian Romero, Eric Dier, Ben Davies, Clement Lenglet and Davinson Sanchez all ahead of him in the pecking order.
Even in the Carabao Cup defeat at Nottingham Forest at the start of November, Tanganga remained an unused substitute despite it appearing to be the perfect game to hand him some playing time. The January transfer window would have been the perfect time for the defender to leave the club on loan to continue his development by gaining first-team minutes, but this was not to be the case.
Pape Matar Sarr
Having joined Spurs in a £14.5 million deal from Metz last season, the 20-year-old returned to Ligue 1 on loan during the 2021/2022 campaign before linking up with his new club this summer. However, he found game time limited in the first part of the season, having made just three appearances.
Moretto claim was that La Liga outfit Sevilla held an interest in bringing Sarr to Spain in the January transfer window, but a deal never materialised. Now, with the window shut, Sarr must work his way into Conte's options to avoid missing a major chunk of the second part of the season, just as he did the first.
