A Leeds mum has been named barber of the year after being nominated for a prestigious award.
Tracy Mangan was handed the award at the English Hair and Beauty Awards 2022 making this the fifth award she has won.
In 2021, Tracey, 45, won Yorkshire’s Best Barber at Salon Awards which was the second time being handed the award.

She told Leeds Live she is “over the moon” after winning the award which she didn’t think she would get.
“I’m over the moon. That's my fifth award now,” Tracy said. “I honestly didn’t think I was going to win. There were 10 people in the category. When it was runner up I thought it was my name. I’m really shocked.
“The award was over the North of England - Yorkshire and North east England.
“It means the world to me. I got nominated for the award, I didn’t nominate myself, I got nominated by someone, it means a lot that someone would nominate me. It’s nice to be recognised.”

Tracy, who works at W2 Barber shop in Roundhay, has said she is now looking to get into teaching so she can pass on knowledge from her 30 years in the industry.
When she was 21-years-old, Tracy moved from Scotland to Leeds and trained as a hairdresser.
As a barber she has built up a huge clientele and also works with local organisations including Andy Man’s Club.
“It makes me feel really proud,” she continued. “I work so hard for myself and my kids. I think it’s important to show them to work hard.
“I’m going on to teaching. I’ve started a teaching course I want to pass on the knowledge
“I believe in myself more and my dreams. I would love a Barber and training academy, it’s now within my reach.”
