The Scottish beauty spots you can head to when the sun shines this weekend

Warm weather on the way you say? Well, it's Scotland so you know we better make the most of it.

And that means grabbing some snacks for the trip, getting out the sunglasses, calling up your friends and heading somewhere nice to enjoy the sunshine.

Thankfully, Scotland has hundreds of amazing beauty spots to make the most of a sunny day, from beaches to parks to hidden gems to wow your friends, here are some of our favourites.

Loch Morlich, Badenoch and Strathspey

The shore of Loch Morlich, near Aviemore, is the only award-winning freshwater beach in Scotland and is utterly stunning.

The nearby Pine Marten Bar and Scran is ideal for getting a bite to eat after.

Coldingham Bay, Eyemouth

One of those stunning little villages that is filled with history and surrounded by breathtaking Scottish scenery that's made even better by the sunshine.
