Despite their 7-12-5 record which has them currently in last place in the Pacific Division, the San Jose Sharks are proving to be must-see television of late during the 2024-2025 season. They are an exciting young team that NHL fans should watch.
Here are three reasons why.
1. Many Third Period Game-Tying Goals
The San Jose Sharks lead the NHL with game-tying goals in the final ten minutes of the third period.

2. Rookie Sensation Macklin Celebrini Is Lighting It Up
Macklin Celebrini is a rookie leading the rebuilding and youth-focused San Jose Sharks team. He is joined by fellow rookies Will Smith and Yaroslav Askarov. The Sharks third period five goals is the team’s season high in a single period.

Celebrini, the first overall pick of the 2024 NHL Draft, is following in the footsteps of his 2023 counterpart Connor Bedard who had an excellent rookie season. He has so many playmaking qualities including a no-look wrist shot that has NHL fans marveling at the 18-year-old’s skills.

Though Sharks leading scorer Mikael Granlund is temporarily sidelined with an upper body injury, the 32-year-old Finnish star has 9 goals and 15 assists this season.
His veteran leadership is beginning to pay dividends.
