Andy Halliday reckons Robert Snodgrass will be a key man for Hearts this season.
The 35-year-old joined Robbie Neilson's side as a free agent on a one-year deal as the capital club look to challenge both domestically and in Europe. The former Norwich City, West Ham and West Brom star climbed off the bench for his debut against Motherwell at Fir Park and will now have a further couple of weeks to boost his fitness levels due to the international break.
Hearts ended the week in perfect fashion as they followed up their Europa Conference League success over RFS in Riga with a 3-0 triumph over the Steelmen. Lawrence Shankland and Alan Forrest were once again on target, just like last Thursday's away win. Orestis Kiomourtzoglou also made his debut after eventually getting the green light for his visa while Zander Clark is another who has arrived to boost the numbers alongside deadline day season-long loan signing Stephen Humphrys.

Hearts' two wins in three days has them sitting second in their European section after two games and third behind Celtic and Rangers in the Premiership standings.
Asked on Open Goal if Snodgrass will be brilliant addition for Hearts, his new team-mate said: "He will be. It's his experience as well and another thing is that he's started to play in a few different positions in the latter stages of his career.
"I think he played a couple of different positions in the last twenty minutes (against Motherwell) and done well. We obviously change shape a lot so I'd imagine he'll play wherever he's asked.
"We've struggled with injuries since the start of the season but when we've got everyone fit, we've got a really good squad."
Kiomourtzoglou - the £350K signing from Heracles Almelo in the Netherlands - also made his Jambos bow and landed pass marks from Halliday.
He added: "It was his first game but he done well. It's not an easy place to go and that's the first time we've won their since 2018."
