Road closures are set to cause disruption in Swansea later this week. Swansea Council has warned of scheduled works coming up in a few days in the Manselton and Gendros areas of the city.
They will be in place for carriageway resurfacing works to take place during the daytime and are likely to cause temporary issues for people living around the area.
On Wednesday, July 12, Phillip Street in Manselton will be closed from 7.30am until 5pm for the road to be planed. It will be closed over the same time period the following day for plane and lay works to be carried out. Then on Friday, July 14 lay works will be carried out between 7.30am and 5pm. At the junction of Middle Road, Gendros Crescent and Upper Gendros Crescent, plane works will be carried out on Friday, July 14 from 9am until 3pm which will require the road to be closed.
Elsewhere in the city, Trafalgar Bridge at the Marina is currently closed to allow the council to carry our repair works. They got underway on Saturday, July 8 and are expected it will take 16 days to complete.
Works also got underway on Monday, July 10 in Pont y Cob Road, Gowerton, to allow MJ Quinn to undertake poling on behalf of BT Openreach. A temporary road closure has been put in place in a northerly direction from its junction with Brynymor Road for a distance of 250 metres.
