Wrexham moved a step closer to promotion to the Football League with their dramatic 3-2 victory over nearest rivals Notts County at the Racecourse on Easter Monday.
The Dragons found themselves staring down the barrel of a second consecutive defeat after going 1-0 down in first-half stoppage time before fighting back in the second-half through goals from Paul Mullin, Jacob Mendy and Elliot Lee.

The game was the biggest in Wrexham’s recent history and arguably in National League history, drawing in unprecedented levels of media coverage and being shown live on BT Sport at prime time on a bank holiday. The result meant that Wrexham moved up to 103 points with four games left, while County remain on 100 points with just three games left.
Wrexham are now in touching distance of promotion to the Football League, 15 years after they were relegated to the fifth tier back in 2008.
Here are the results needed that could see Wrexham back in the Football League as early as next Tuesday.
Wrexham travel to fifth-placed Barnet on Saturday in the early kick-off; a win there will see them move onto 106 points. Meanwhile, Notts County host third-placed Woking at Meadow Lane. If they were to lose they could find themselves six points behind Wrexham with just two games to go, should the Reds beat Barnet.
Wrexham play their game in hand next Tuesday as they host relegation-threatened Yeovil Town at the Racecourse. If Wrexham win on Saturday, beat Yeovil on Tuesday while Notts County drop points against Woking, Wrexham will be promoted at the Racecourse next Tuesday night.
However, if Notts County pick up all three points against Woking, the promotion party will have to wait until the following Saturday when Boreham Wood are the visitors to north Wales.
If Wrexham win their next three games they will be crowned National League champions on April 22, regardless of how Notts County get on in their next two fixtures. Wrexham can claim a maximum points total of 115 points with their four remaining games, while Notts County can claim a total of 109 points from their three remaining games.
It’s not inconceivable that Wrexham could drop points between now and the end of the season leading to the possibility that it could come down to the final day. Wrexham travel to Torquay on the final day while Notts County host York. However, barring any major slip-ups Wrexham will wrap up the title in front of their home fans next Tuesday or on April 22.
