The Repair Shop's Will Kirk is set to become a dad, as his wife is expecting their first child.
The popular TV star has confirmed he and his wife Polly - who he tied the knot with in 2021 - are set to welcome a baby soon, announcing the exciting news on social media as he spoke of his joy at extending his family.
Will is known to viewers of The Repair Shop as a furniture restorer, where he regularly helps out people on the show to restore their much-loved prized possessions alongside the likes of Jay Blades, Suzie Fletcher, Steve Fletcher and Amanda Middleditch.
"A new mug to add to my collection this summer. We are so excited for our new little arrival and to extend our family," he wrote on his Instagram account as he shared a snap of himself with a mug that read 'papa'.
His friends and fans alike were quick to offer their congratulations to the couple.
"Awww lovely news," Rav Wilding wrote, as a friend added: "Wonderful news! Many congratulations to you both!"
Another pal penned: "This is wonderful news, huge congratulations to you both!"
"Ahhh congratulations to you both! How exciting! X x," a fourth shared, with a fifth writing: "Many congratulations to you both, such exciting news." A sixth penned: "You’ll make a wonderful Papa, so exciting!!"
Another quizzed whether he might be making his own cot, as they joked: "A massive congratulations to you both. My boys are my life and I'd never change it for the world, I hope it'll be the same for you both. So, are you making a cot or buying one?"
Will previously admitted he sometimes struggles to hold it together on The Repair Shop.
"There's an amazing team there at the barn and it's a lovely show! Just watching that, there's a lump in my throat. We're so invested in the item and the people bringing them in," he said.
"That and many other things that have come in have been so emotional. Sometimes it's hard to do the work while not having tears running down your face. And you see how much these things mean to people, gosh, sorry!"
