A nation once divided by its diverse landscape and valleys - it is no surprise that Wales boasts 427 castles according to CADW- the historic environment service of the Welsh Government.
These castles date back hundreds and hundreds of years but are now a key part of Welsh heritage and culture alongside being major tourist attractions for people to look on in awe as they travel back in time.
