Following the death of Queen Elizabeth II, her eldest son has become King Charles III and his wife, Camilla, is Queen Consort.
Many changes will continue to take place in the Royal Family, including titles and official residences.
Royal Family members often have official residences, which can depend on their title and rank, while others live in private homes, though often on royal estates.
Along with King Charles III, find out where the Queen’s other children, Princess Anne, Prince Edward, and Prince Andrew live.
Where does King Charles III live?
As king, the official residence of Charles and his wife Camilla, the Queen Consort, will be Buckingham Palace.
However, they intend to remain at Clarence House, which is a royal residence on St James’s Palace on The Mall, in London, until building work is completed at the palace.
Before Charles became king, Clarence House was his official residence, as Prince of Wales.
Clarence House is also home to the former Prince of Wales’s household, who supported Charles and Camilla with their official engagements.
However, dozens of Clarence House staff were given notice of the threat of redundancy on Monday (September 12), following the king’s accession.
Where does Princess Anne live?
Princess Anne and her husband, Sir Timothy Laurence, live on a 700-acre Gloucestershire estate called Gatcombe Park.
The couple lives in the Grade II-listed main building of the estate, which was gifted to Anne and her first husband, Captain Mark Phillips in 1976, as a wedding gift.
In 2013, Zara Tindall and her husband Mike moved to the estate with their children after selling their home in Cheltenham.
Gatcombe Park is also a working farm, with sheep, cows, and pigs.
Where does Prince Edward live?
Prince Edward lives in Bagshot Park, in Surrey, along with the Countess of Wessex and their two children, Lady Louise Windsor and James, Viscount Severn.
The couple moved there in 1999, shortly after getting married, and Prince Edward recently extended the lease for a further 150 years, which reportedly cost £5 million.
The grade II listed building is surrounded by 51 acres of land and is rumoured to have 120 rooms.
Where does Prince Andrew live?
Prince Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, live at Royal Lodge, a Grade II-listed, 30-room home in Windsor, five miles from the castle. In 2003, the Prince renewed a 75-year lease on the property.
The late Queen’s corgis, Muick and Sandy, will join Prince Andrew at Royal Lodge.
Prince William and Princess Catherine recently moved to the Windsor estate with their children, George, Charlotte, and Louis. They now live in Adelaide Cottage.
