The Queen meets Lilibet for first time in 'secret' Harry and Meghan reunion

Omid Scobie Prince Harry Queen Elizabeth II Windsor

The Queen met her great-granddaughter Lilibet for the first time in what appeared to be a secret meeting inside Windsor Castle as Prince Harry and Meghan reunited with the Royal Family.

Royal commentator Omid Scobie, one of the authors of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's biography Finding Freedom, revealed details of the low-key introduction during a TV interview this morning.

He said that last night would have been the first time the monarch would have met her namesake, who turns one on June 4, in person, the Mirror reports.
