Bill Turnbull's death this week came following a five year battle with prostate cancer. The former BBC Breakfast host had previously told of his diagnosis and urged people not to "die of embarrassment".
He said then how by the time he was diagnosed his cancer had reached a point where the treatment was not going to be "so effective". He died on Wednesday, his family said in a statement.
But following his diagnosis he became keen to raise awareness of the men's cancer. And he told people: "Catch it early and you can live a normal life."
