Victor Orta and Leeds United have acted quickly in the transfer market after securing their Premier League safety last Sunday. They have done so by confirming Brenden Aaronson as their first signing of the summer.
Having played under Jesse Marsch at RB Salzburg, the American is the perfect tactical fit for the way the Leeds' manager would like to move the team towards. He is comfortable playing on the right of the two behind the strikers in the 4-2-2-2 formation which Marsch initially utilised after taking the job, as well as playing as a number ten in a 4-4-2 diamond and a 4-2-3-1.
Leeds have committed a significant financial outlay on their latest signing and that reason - coupled with his previous experience playing under Marsch - makes it highly likely that he will slot straight into Leeds starting XI. Of course, that means one of Leeds' current regulars will have to miss out. It's fair to say that Leeds' first XI made very few outings in 21/22 down to suffering so many injuries but here are the players that may find themselves on the fringes more, now that Aaronson has joined the club.
