The Pitt star Sepideh Moafi has broken her silence on rumours she's been embroiled in a feud with her co-star Noah Wyle.
The 40-year-old actress joined the medical drama in season two playing Dr. Baran Al-Hashimi opposite former ER star Wyle as Dr. Michael 'Robby' Robinavitch and online gossip has suggested there has been tension behind-the-scenes between the pair which may have impacted her character's storyline, but Moafi is adamant the speculation is totally unfounded.
She told Variety: "Absolutely not [true]. I do not have that power. We’re really great colleagues. Noah and I have always had a great working relationship, which is why it actually felt safe to do the darker, dirtier work in episode 15, particularly because, between set-ups, we were shooting the s*** and laughing.
"So that’s completely false that there’s a personal sort of beef or rivalry between us, at least not that I’m aware of. You can check with Noah, but I don’t know about this."
Moafi confirmed her character will be back for The Pitt's season three - which is due to start filming this summer - but details about how she will be featured are still up in the air.
Moafi added: "At the moment, I am [returning to The Pitt]. I’m not sure to what capacity. I’m positive, I think? Nothing is clear to me as to what’s happening with the story, how many episodes, all that, but I am coming back."
The actress went on to talk about a meme circulating on social media which compares her character's curly hair style to Jennifer Aniston's iconic Rachel hair cut on hit sitcom Friends.
She told the publication: "Oh my God, I did not see that. I’m obsessed, and I’m so honoured, because growing up watching Friends' the Rachel Green hair was everything.
"How many people throughout my career, when I wear my hair curly, have said: 'Oh my God, you’ve inspired me to wear my hair curly.' It’s crazy to me that we have any shame or hesitation, because we’ve been told that this is what beauty looks like."
Moafi's comments come after her The Pitt co-star Isa Briones revealed the show's popularity was becoming a problem for her as audience members watching her perform in the Broadway production of Just in Time have been yelling out references to the medical drama while she's onstage.
Briones shared a candid message on Instagram telling them to stop. In her post, she wrote: "Hey hey hey! Once again, Broadway is not a circus. Do not yell whatever you want at the performers.
"Yelling 'When are you going to finish your charts' before I sing ‘Who’s Sorry Now' is so f****** disrespectful to the performers onstage and your fellow audience members. Y’all are p*****'’ me off.
"Love and light and please remember you are occupying shared spaces and watching art."
