The Patriots scored a TD on what should’ve have been an easy delay of game call and NFL fans were furious

The New England Patriots are rolling with their third-string quarterback in Green Bay today after Brian Hoyer, who was filling in for an injured Mac Jones, left early with a concussion.

And you know what? Rookie Bailey Zappe and the Patriots are hanging right with Aaron Rodgers and the Packers at Lambeau Field.

Zappe threw his first career TD pass to DeVante Parker in the third quarter that gave New England a 17-14 lead. It sure looked like the play should have been called dead before the snap, though, and that the Patriots should have been called for a delay of game penalty.

I mean, look at how bad this was:

Yikes.

NFL fans were furious.
