The Outlook for Cooler U.S. Temps Weighs on Nat-Gas Prices

September Nymex natural gas (NGU23) on Tuesday closed -0.136 (-4.87%).

Nat-gas prices Tuesday dropped to a 1-week low and closed sharply lower.   Prices retreated on the outlook for cooler U.S. temperatures later this month, which will reduce nat-gas demand from electricity providers to power air conditioning.  The Commodity Weather Group said warm U.S. temperatures could peak next week and shift cooler from August 30-September 13.
