The Open: Cameron Smith beats Rory McIlroy to 150th Championship crown with thrilling final round

Rory McIlroy Cameron Smith Open Championship St. Andrews

Cameron Smith won the 150th Open Championship with a magnificent score of 20 under-par at St Andrews, beating Rory McIlroy to the Claret Jug.

McIlroy shared the lead ahead of the final round alongside Viktor Hovland but Smith, who led after the second round having been in all contention all weekend, bagged his first Major title on the Old Course.
