The One Show's Alex Jones has shared a very important message after a hospital appointment. The Welsh presenter assured fans that nothing was wrong but urged people to get checked if they are worried about anything when it comes to their health.
Alex, 46, explained that she'd gone to get a mark checked out on her arm that had been there for 20 years, but didn't want to take any risks now she's a mum of three. In a candid video posted on Instagram, Alex explained to her 349k followers about her morning.
Sitting in her car, the television star, who hails from Ammanford, said: "I have just left the hospital, nothing wrong but a week ago I went to the GP... I've had this little mark on my arm for about 20 years and it's probably nothing but with three children I thought I don't want to take any risks."

She continued: "They referred me really quickly to the hospital and I went into this like photography studio just now and they took loads of pictures with lots of different cameras and I'll get the results within five days."
Alex added how she was worried she was wasting the staff's time but was reassured she wasn't. She explained: "I said 'I'm really sorry I feel like I'm wasting your time,' and the lovely photographer said, 'absolutely not, nobody ever knows what any mark is or how it changes and it's always worth checking.'"
She then urged: "So if you're out there this morning with a little mark or a spot or a bump or a lump that you don't know what it is, just there's a reminder, go and have it checked it takes two seconds." For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
