Guests starring on tonight's The One Show include the musical duo Alfie Boe and Michael Ball discussing their new song Together in Vegas, TV presenter and author Dawn O'Porter and star of First Dates, Fred Sirieix. The channel swap comes after Liz Truss resigned as Prime Minister.
After just six unsuccessful weeks as Prime Minister - the shortest term in history - which saw her rescind on policies she campaigned on, lose her Home Secretary, Suella Braverman and Chancellor, Kwasi Kwarteng, and saw Parliament descend into chaos over the vote on Labour's fracking motion, Liz Truss decided to step down. She announced her resignation outside Downing Street on Thursday, October 20 and there is expected to be a leadership contest in the next week.
This is not the first time recently The One show has undergone scheduling changes as the death of the Queen meant many programmes were not aired. You can read here about how regular One Show host Welsh presenter Alex Jones dealt with presenting the show during the Queen's death and mourning period.
The One Show is expected to return to BBC One on Friday, October 21 at 7pm.
