Welsh The One Show presenter Alex Jones is known for her brilliant takes on subjects and funny quips after the odd VT report and on Friday she revealed a little more about her personality when it comes to pets,. The show, famed for its magazine-style news feature reports from across the country on a whole host of topics, focused on the concept of dog-sharing.
Doing exactly what it says on the tin dog-sharing is when two people, or households, share responsibility or ownership for a pooch, splitting the cost and time looking after their pet. Viewers saw pals Gita and Josh share Mimi after the former realised she wasn't spending enough time at home post-pandemic. As the segment ended Alex shared her thoughts on the practice.

"See obviously it works for them," Alex, who looked sleek in a black shirt and shiny black trousers alongside Ronan Keating, said. "But I'd be worried that if I had a dog the dog would start favouring the other person and I'd get jealous!" She added, laughing: "I'm pathetic like that."
The piece also emphasised that the practice should have consistency for the dog as moving between homes and owners could be confusing for the animal. The One Show can be caught up on via BBC iPlayer. For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
