The one demand Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have for attending coronation

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are yet to make a decision on whether they will visit the UK to attend King Charles' coronation - and reports state that it is down to one demand.

One of the bigger issues among the Royal Family is the attendance of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex at the ceremony, reports the Mirror.

The couple are yet to confirm if they will fly to the UK for the momentous occasion, taking place on May 6, 2023.

The pair will be invited alongside a guestlist of 2,000 people to Westminster Abbey - with a star-studded concert to take place the day after at Windsor Castle.

Sources close to the couple have said that they are unsure on whether they will be there in person - with less than three months to go until the big day.

There are a number of issues, with relations between Harry and his family at an all time low, and the historic event awkwardly takes place on Archie's birthday.

And according to the same source, there is one simple demand that will affect Prince Harry and Meghan's decision.

It is understood Harry wants a summit with King Charles and Prince William to discuss their issues.

A source said: "Harry has been very clear and his position hasn't wavered – he isn’t going to come if he feels the atmosphere will be as toxic as it was during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and funeral.

"He's said he wants to reconcile with his family and it’s their call, but so far nothing has changed."

If this meeting does go ahead, it will be hoped that the result will be better than the infamous Sandringham summit in January 2020. Following this, Harry departed from his royal duties and moved to the States.

The emergency meeting ended with the Queen reluctantly granting her grandson and his wife permission to step down as senior royals after discussing titles, finances and security.
