Previously, Bristol Live reported that there was only one KFC branch in the city that didn't have a five-star food hygiene rating out of several branches in the city.
KFC's Union Street restaurant has a rating of three stars, which means hygiene standards were found to be "generally satisfactory" when the inspector visited, rather than "good" or "very good".
And it has now emerged there is another well-known fast food chain in Bristol where only one of its branches does not have a perfect hygiene rating.

Burger King on St. Philips Causeway was given a four-star hygiene according to the Food Standards Agency website, and while this represents a 'good' level of hygiene, it is the only restaurant belonging to the chain without five stars. You would also be forgiven for thinking that all fast food chain restaurants should have a perfect rating given the scale of their operation.
According to the FSA report, the establishment was found to have ‘very good’ management of food safety which included an appropriate system in place to ensure the implementation of food safety measures.
However, the rating was decreased because the branch received a four when it came to how the staff prepared and stored its food.
Additionally, the branch performed even worse for the maintenance of the building, where the branch was given a three, representing ‘generally satisfactory’.
This was marked down due to the facilities of Burger King, which is also crucial when it comes to receiving a good food hygiene rating, according to FSA. Restaurants must have certain elements in place such as exceptional pest control and hand washing facilities.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) plays a crucial role in informing customers what hospitality venues to be aware of when it comes to their cleanliness, giving every venue a rating based on their hygiene standards.
Food establishments are advised to display their rating through a sticker given to them and online on their website, which demonstrates their food hygiene rating. However, it is not legally mandatory for them to actually do so in England.
Here is how the FSA's ranking system works, with f being the highest and 0 the lowest.
5 – hygiene standards are very good
4 – hygiene standards are good
3 – hygiene standards are generally satisfactory
2 – some improvement is necessary
1 – major improvement is necessary
0 – urgent improvement is required
