The number of measles cases in the U.S. just hit a 35-year high - with 2,295 cases reported nationwide in 2026.
That’s nearly 200 more cases than the 2,126 tracked following an outbreak in 1991, according to new data from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and just above last year’s 2,289 total.
