Riot often does flashy, extravagant trailers whenever another League of Legends champion is about to come out. This time, though, the details are far more mysterious.
On Tuesday, two teasers went up on the official League of Legends YouTube channel. The videos titled “To the Eye of the void” and “To the Prophet of the Void” address existing void champions Vel’Koz and Malzahar, respectively (Thanks, Dot Esports). A disembodied voice narrates each, suggesting that end-times are coming to Runeterra. Most fans believe this is the queen of the void speaking, and we’ll learn her true identity soon — May 20, 2022, at 12:00 P.M. PDT // 3:00 P.M. EDT // 7:00 P.M. GMT if the video description is any indication.
Curiously, fans also noticed that the champion page for Kai’Sa recently changed. Specifically, the character artwork now contains some sort of tendrils that weren’t there before. Check out the comparison screenshots below to see what I mean.
Besides the obvious corruption, there are a lot more of these void fish things in the corrupted Kai'Sa splash pic.twitter.com/xWOpQsf0ba

Kind of spooky, isn’t it? Her left eye now matches one seen in both teasers too.
Kai’Sa is known as the “daughter of the void,” the next champion is likely her mother. At least, that’s what everyone is assuming. We’ll surely find out what’s going on rather soon.
