'The next girl could end up dead': parents' fury over teen daughters' bashing

The mothers of two girls who were the victims of a vicious assault involving about 30 teenagers have spoken out against a social media-driven culture, saying young people are no longer held accountable for their actions.

Police are seeking footage of the sickening incident, which occurred between the Newcastle beach light rail stop and Pacific Street on Sunday afternoon.
