It’s the weekend once again, with Christmas finally just around the corner. As the country grapples with a bitterly cold winter, there’s no better time to hunker down for the weekend for a good old streaming binge.

Whether you fancy a hilariously improvised festive-murder-mystery, or an explosive documentary retelling a deadly volcanic eruption, there is plenty to choose from this December.

Who Killed Santa? A Murderville Murder Mystery
Senior Detective Terry Seattle (Will Arnett) is back, and this time, the case is critical. Along with celebrity guest stars Maya Rudolph and Arnett’s Arrested Development co-star Jason Bateman, he is on a mission to figure out who killed Santa.
But Maya and Jason aren’t being given the script – they have no idea what’s about to happen to them. Together, with Terry Seattle and many surprises along the way, they will have to improvise their way through the case, and it will be up to both of them to name Saint Nick’s killer.

Cook at All Costs
Do luxury ingredients always make the best dishes? Or can humble items be transformed into a recipe for success? Hosted by chef and restaurateur Jordan Andino, Cook at All Costs is a cooking competition where skill meets strategy, as three home cooks put their money where their mouths are to bid on ingredients in a high-stakes, auction-packed cook off.
With $25,000 in their banks, the home cooks will have to decide if they want to bid big for the best ingredients, save their money for the basics, or gamble on a surprise – because in the end, the cook who best impresses the celebrity guest chef will win all the money left in their bank.
A Storm for Christmas
In this Norwegian drama series, a group of people arrive at Oslo airport in December 2022. Some to welcome their loved ones, some to travel home to their families, and some to fly away and escape Christmas.
But in one way or another, their Christmas mission goes awry. They are all stranded at the airport and the clock is ticking with only 24 hours until Christmas.
The Recruit
This thrilling new spy-adventure series centers around young CIA lawyer Owen Hendricks (Noah Centineo). His first week on the job turns upside down when he discovers a threatening letter by former asset Max Meladze (Laura Haddock), who plans to expose the agency unless they exonerate her of a serious crime.
Owen quickly becomes entangled in a dangerous and often absurd world of power politics and mischievous players, as he travels the world in hopes of completing his assignment and making a mark at the CIA.
BARDO, False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths
Five-time Oscar-winner Alejandro G. Iñárritu (Birdman, The Revenant) brings an epic, visually stunning and immersive experience set against the intimate and moving journey of Silverio (Daniel Gimenez Cacho), a renowned Mexican journalist and documentary filmmaker living in Los Angeles. After being named the recipient of a prestigious international award, Silverio is compelled to return to his native country, unaware that this simple trip will push him to an existential limit.
The folly of his memories and fears have decided to pierce through the present, filling his everyday life with a sense of bewilderment and wonder. With both emotion and abundant laughter, Silverio grapples with universal yet intimate questions about identity, success, mortality, the history of Mexico and the deeply emotional familial bonds he shares with his wife and children.
The Volcano: Rescue from Whakaari
From executive producers Leonardo DiCaprio and Ron Howard, this tense and gripping documentary tracks the minute-by-minute unfolding of the tragic volcanic eruption off the coast of New Zealand in December 2019, which ultimately claimed 22 lives. During a routine sightseeing day-trip to a remote volcanic island, 47 tourists and guides were trapped in the epicenter of a boiling pyroclastic surge of toxic dust and ash.
Both terrifying and inspiring, the film uses first-hand accounts to convey the experience of living through such a lethal eruption. Offering more than a startling and brutal portrait of mother nature’s profound indifference, The Volcano also serves as testimony to human nature’s innate generosity, with the viewer guided by survivors and the courageous and quick-thinking ordinary citizens who sprang to action that day.
Dance Monsters
In this feel-good competition, amateur dancers disguised as CGI avatars bring their best moves, hoping to wow a panel of judges and win $250,000. Ne-Yo, Lele Pons and Ashley Banjo serve as judges while Ashley Roberts takes on hosting duties.
