Loving wife of the late Ralph Morton Thomas, devoted mother to Richard and Jeremy, mother-in-law to Alyson and Caroline, cherished Grandma of Verity, Matthew, Kyle and Jack, beloved Gee Gee to Izzy and Daniel. Peacefully on March 15 at Ysbyty'r Seren, Bridgend Doug, aged 82 years, of Felindre Avenue, Pencoed and formerly of Wern Tawr. Dearly loved husband of Ann, much loved father of Charles and Liz, loving Bamp of Lewis and wife Rachel, and a dear brother of Gwen. Doug will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Simon Christopher Green
Passed away peacefully on Monday, March 14, 2022 at Y Bwthyn Newydd, Princess of Wales Hospital, Bridgend. Simon; a beloved son of Michael and the late Val and a much loved brother of Richard, will be greatly missed by all his family and many, many friends. The funeral procession will be leaving Bridgend Rugby Club at 11.05am on Friday, April 1, 2022. The funeral service will take place at 11.30am at Coychurch Crematorium. Formal funeral attire not necessary, Rugby Jerseys are very welcome. Mivie and family would like to thank relatives, friends and neighbours for the kindness shown, messages of sympathy and lovely floral tributes received during their sad loss. Special thanks to doctors at Cornelly Surgery, consultants at the Princess of Wales Hospital, Morriston Hospital, Velindre and to the district nurses for their dedication and care to Marsdon and for helping Mivie through her journey over the last two years. Many thanks to those who attended the funeral and to Kenfig Hill RFC for the excellent refreshments.
