It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of Lara who passed away at Holme Towers (Marie Curie) on the 16th November, 2022, aged 47 years, after her brave battle against cancer. Beloved wife of Peter; cherished Mummy of Freya and Olivia; loving daughter of Clayton and Sue; wonderful daughter in law of Dennis and Jean; adored sister of Lucy and sister in law of Andrew. Lara will be forever missed by all her family and friends. Resting at D Caesar Jones Funeral Directors, 55 Pantbach Road, Rhiwbina, Cardiff, until her funeral service on Saturday, 10th December at Thornhill Crematorium, Wenallt Chapel at 11.45am. Marilyn June Jones
(of Brightside Manor, formerly of Lisvane, Cardiff) Died peacefully at the University Hospital of Wales, with Sue and Roy at her side on 23rd November 2022. Dear wife of the late Bert, fondly remembered stepsister of Janet and Sandra and all her nieces and nephews. Agnes (Nancy) Gilmore (nee McNeely)
Died peacefully on 13th November 2022, aged 94 years. Much loved wife of the late Hamilton, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Sidney Albert Lloyd
Sidney sadly passed away at Llandough Hospital on the 9th November 2022, after a long illness. Dearly loved son of Doreen and much loved brother of Glenys and brother in-law Paul. He will be missed greatly by all the family. Sidney's funeral service will take place on Thursday 8th December in the Briwnant Chapel, Thornhill Crematorium at 12.45pm, followed by interment at Northern Cemetery Thornhill at 1.30pm. John Ceri Daniel
It is with deep regret that we have to announce the death of John Ceri Daniel who passed away peacefully at the University Hospital Cardiff on the 14th November 2022, four days short of his 88th birthday. He was a devoted husband to his wife Chris, loving father to Andrew and David and grandfather to Megan, Rhys, Niamh and Erin. His funeral service will be held at St Martin's Church on the 5th December at 1.30pm, followed with committal at The Wenallt Chapel, Thornhill Crematorium, Cardiff at 2.45pm. Colin Frederick Palfrey
(Dr) In remembrance of Colin Palfrey, who passed away peacefully and with dignity at home amongst his family on 20 November 2022 at 83 years old. A loving husband to Liz, brother to Brian, and father to Sian-Elin, Lisa, Dafydd, Gareth and Catrin. He will be sorely missed by all, including his eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Peacefully on November 11th at Velindre Hospital, from 39 Northumberland St, Canton, formerly of Dinas Mawddwy, aged 43 years. Beloved and faithful partner of Dewi, loving and caring mother of Idris and Casi, cherished daughter of Gillian and the late Tegwyn, much loved and mischievous sister of Catrin, Sian Elin and Sioned, tender daughter in law of Christine and Irfon, fond sister in law of John, Iddon, Stewart, Bethan and Elfyn, proud, kind and witty aunty of Jack, Morgan, Maldwyn, Ifan, Lois, Elan and the late Gwen and a loyal friend to many. Private service at Thornhill Crematorium on Monday December 5th, followed by a public service at Salem Chapel, Canton, Cardiff at midday. Please feel free to wear colourful clothes. Huw Jones
Passed away suddenly on Saturday November 12th 2022. He leaves his beloved family: his adored wife and best friend, Liz, his sons of whom he was so proud: Aled, Ioan and Emyr, his sister Ruth, sister-in-law Sylvia, brother-in-law Alun and nephews Siôn, Steffan, Ifan and Mabon. He was a faithful and true friend to many and will be sorely missed by all. The funeral will be held at Wenallt Chapel, Thornhill Crematorium, at 3.30pm on Thursday, December 1st 2022. Beverley Margaret Roberts (Tyrer)
It is with great sadness that the family of Mrs Beverley Margaret Roberts (neé Tyrer, widow of the late Professor Geraint M Roberts) announces her passing after a long illness on Sunday 20th November 2022 at the age of 80. Beverley passed away peacefully in the University Hospital Wales, and will be lovingly remembered by her mother, brother, children, and their families. The private funeral service will be held at Thornhill Crematorium on Thursday 15th December 2022. Family flowers only. Donations can be made to Velindre Cancer Centre in recognition of their care.
