Ten of the most incredible man caves and 'she sheds' across the UK have been revealed as finalists battle it out to have their jaw-dropping rooms named the 'Games Room of the Year'. The UK’s leading games room retailer, www.homeleisuredirect.com, is currently hosting their seventh annual ‘Games Room of the Year’ competition.
The 10 finalists from across the UK have created some quirky hang-out rooms, featuring everything from arcade games, bars, pool tables - and even an entire cinema complete with full-size movie posters. One sports-themed chill-out room even has dozens of brightly-coloured football scarves adorning the ceiling.
Another has turned their extra space into a cool wine-cellar, while another has created a Marvel-themed den full of games.
The competition, which is approaching the final phase of voting, is trying to find the undisputed champion of domestic games rooms in the UK. From the vintage arcade hangout to the pool hall superstars, the finalists have been whittled down – with a cash prize of £1,000 up for grabs for the successful winner.
Hilary Cutler, Marketing Director of Home Leisure Direct, said: "Games Room of the Year is now in its seventh year, having run annually since 2015. This year’s round of entrants have not disappointed – featuring some of the most stylish and jaw-dropping games rooms we’ve ever had the pleasure of seeing.
"This year represents both our highest number of entries and quality we have ever had – making the selection of our ten finalists incredibly competitive. However, we are completely confident the top 10 games rooms we have selected are the best of the bunch and we look forward to the results from the public vote, crowning this years ‘Games Room of the Year’."
The voting is in its final phase, and Home Leisure Direct are looking for members of the public to get involved and select their stand-out favourite from the list of ten contenders. The voting will end on Tuesday, November 15, at 11.59pm.
