The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have declared their moringa leaf powder Salmonella outbreaks over, and the Food and Drug Administration has closed the corresponding investigations. Both agencies used the announcements to make an unusual point: the products are still a hazard.
The reason is shelf life. Recalled Live it Up Super Greens powder carried expiration dates running from August 2026 to January 2028. Recalled: Why Not Natural moringa capsules carried an expiration date of July 2028. Recalled TNVitamins and Doctor's Pride moringa products carry lot expirations running as late as May 2028.
