From staying in a plane to a hanging in a tent between the trees there are plenty of unique places to stay in Wales but if you are a Lord of the Rings or Hobbit fan, then this 'Middle Earth' hideaway is the perfect getaway for you. The Hobbit-like home, The Nest, is the place to escape and unwind.
Found in Powys, in the village of Bleddfa, The Nest can hold up to four guests and has some stunning features including a curved grass roof, and the house itself is nestled in the rolling hills. Inside the space is bright, light, and very nicely decorated with modern but simple features.
The Nest boasts huge wall windows, which show off the stunning Powys countryside, a stand-alone bath with another huge window wall showing further views you can enjoy from the tub, two outside bathtubs so you can enjoy being in nature, and a wet room again with a window wall. The location is entirely private and surrounded by the countryside meaning you'll have the place to yourself.

Nearby is the Offa's Dyke National Trail, a 177-mile walking route that runs along the border of England and Wales and is full of history. The closest town is Knighton which is full of great restaurants and holds a Farmers Market every Saturday which is full of local produce to sample and buy.
Wi-Fi is available and the kitchen comes equipped with a dishwasher, cooker, coffee machine, and fridge freezer. Towels are also included and The Nest also comes with a barbecue. You have to book for a minimum of three nights and prices start at £185 per night. For more travel and What's On news sign up to our newsletter here.
