The Matrix Resurrections, the fourth installment in The Matrix film series, has recently found a free streaming home following the surprise confirmation of The Matrix 5 being in development. Serving as a direct sequel to the 2003 movie The Matrix Revolutions, Resurrections continues the story of Neo (Keanu Reeves) and Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss) 60 years after the events of the previous film.
After the announcement of The Matrix 5, The Matrix Resurrections became available for streaming on the free Amazon-owned service Freevee, in addition to its existing availability on Max. This move allows non-Max subscribers to catch up on the movie before the release of the fifth installment, which is expected to closely tie in with the events of the fourth film.
