The Masked Singer fans believe they have worked out the identity of the celebrity hiding behind Knitting on the ITV programme.
Each week, unnamed celebrities have been slipping into the grand characters and competing to remain in the competition as they attempt to throw people off the scent.
But fans have pieced together vital clues before Knitting took to the stage during the latest episode of the singing show and they're all saying the same thing.
This week, Knitting offered a series of clues which appeared to point towards Steps singer, Claire Richards – as well as her iconic voice adding fuel to the fire.
Before taking to the stage, Knitting offered a string of clues – including the fact she had "stumbled upon ruins", which relates to the church in which Steps filmed their video for Tragedy, falling to ruin.
Last month, Claire's bandmate Lisa Scott-Lee donated an eye-watering sum to The Campus of All Saints' Church which has been badly damaged in recent years.
Taking to social media, one fan wrote: "#MaskedSingerUK Knitting is Claire Richards."
A second went on to say: "Knitting is definitely Claire Richards it has to be! #MaskedSingerUK."
"#MaskedSingerUK knitting has gotta be Claire from steps - heavy footfall, @_ClaireRichards sure the church was the church or similar to the one in the Tragedy video," added a third.
While a fourth commented: "I still believe Claire Richard’s steps is Knitting she got an amazing voice #MaskedSingerUK."
Last week, Knitting performed No More Tears 'Enough Is Enough' and fans quickly pointed out that Claire sang the song with Marisha Wallace at the Jazz Cafe in 2020.
In recent weeks, Knitting has thrown several clues into the mix, with the character possibly being a nod to Claire's stint on The Great British Sewing Bee – and she has been extremely open about her passion for all things crafts.
Elsewhere, ahead of Knitting's performance, the star said: "Don't turn out the lights," which could have been related to Steps' hit Scared Of The Dark.
The character also explained that they currently work in an industry in which they are "not trained" – with fans also believing this could be Claire who has made it no secret that she's had no formal training.
Knitting also said "the future comes in two parts", a clear reference to the two Steps albums, What The Future Holds and What The Future Holds Pt2.
But throwing more speculation into the mix, Claire's bandmate Ian 'H' Watkins appeared to confirm that the pop songstress is behind the character.
Taking to his TikTok page, the Welsh star shared clips of Knitting singing, before cutting back to his own face as he looked bewildered.
He captioned his upload: "#TheMaskedSinger #knitting #knittingmaskedsinger #clairefromsteps," hinting that Claire is the character.
The Masked Singer airs Saturdays at 7pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
