Michael Owen has issued an apology after he was unveiled as Doughnuts on The Masked Singer.
The former Liverpool FC striker was one of the 12 celebrities who competed in season 3 of the hit ITV programme.
The 42-year-old was voted off by the judges in tonight's double elimination after his performance of Five's Everybody Get Up.

Michael took to Twitter after the show to apologise for "burning" viewers' ears during his stint on the show.
He said: "Finally I can apologise for burning your ears these last few weeks.
"My kids badgered me into doing @MaskedSingerUK but I have to say it was a great experience and a whole lot of fun. Still can’t believe I got past round one!"
Michael also performed Sweet Caroline and Eye of The Tiger in his time on The Masked Singer and he won praise for his energetic routines.
Viewers following the show on Twitter took to the social media platform to express their shock that Michael Owen appeared on this season of the ITV show.
Sarina said: "Never thought I’d see Michael Owen dressed as a batch of doughnuts singing on TV. Life is full of surprises."
