Oti Mabuse has admitted she was left5 totally 'gobsmacked' by the identity of one of the celebrities in disguise on the new series of The Masked Dancer.
Arriving on screen just over a year after the first series of The Masked Singer proved to be a ratings smash for ITV, The Masked Dancer focuses on star's fancy footwork rather than their vocal talents, with famous faces like Christopher Dean, Craig Revel-Horwood, Bonnie Langford and Howard Donald all starring in the first run last year, which was won by Olympic gymnast and former Strictly champion Louis Smith, in the guise of Carwash.
Just like The Masked Singer, its spin-off proved to be compulsive viewing for millions of viewers, with it taking over ITV's primetime schedule every night. And now it's back, with the new series kicking off on the channel on Saturday, September 3. Strictly winner turned Dancing on Ice judge Oti is making a return to the panel,. playing detective alongside Davina McCall, Jonathan Ross and newcomer Peter Crouch, himself of course famous for his robot dancing goal celebrations.

The new series, once again hosted by Joel Dommett, will see 12 more celebrities get into costume in a bid to try and fool Oti and her colleagues, with characters this time round including Scissors, Cactus and Astronaut.
And, while she's keeping tight lipped on which stars we can expect to see unmasked, Oti is happy to confess one of them blew her mind. In an interview before the new series premiere, Oti said: "Viewers will be shocked by the reveals. There was literally one where I didn't speak because I was so gobsmacked. I just couldn't fathom how they were literally on the show dancing!"
When quizzed on if she's got better at working out who the celebs are since last year, Oti commented: "No. They’ve made them much harder because they know the panel knows lots of people in the entertainment industry.
"They've made it really hard because it could be someone that I’ve worked with before and I’d know their movements, like with Craig Revel Horwoord who was Knickerbocker Glory in the first season. I guessed him because he has a very distinctive walk that I had observed lots of times. Not everyone would have known that."
