The Masked Dancer fans believe they have figured out the identity of the ITV talent show’s Scissors after spotting a string of clues.
ITV viewers now believe the celebrity behind the mask could be 35-year-old Glee star Heather Morris.
In the first edition last Saturday night, Candlestick, Scissors, Astronaut, Odd Socks, Prawn Cocktail and Pillar and Post took to the stage.
Given Scissors’ impressive dance moves on the stage, many were left pointing to the professional dancer, who played the role of Brittany S. Pierce on the Ryan Murphy created show.
The character’s clues segment was held in a salon and included the fact the contestant's voice had an American accent, as she said she is "considered sharp" and "not always been described as the sharpest tool in the shed".
Taking to Twitter to guess at the celebrity’s identity, one said: “Scissors might be Heather Morris? Her character 'wasn't the sharpest' and she toured as a dancer did she not?”
Another added: “IF THAT'S HEATHER I WILL CRY.”
Another The Masked Dancer fan who was insistent they were right with their prediction was a keen-eared viewer on Reddit.
They wrote: “Scissors has to be Heather Morris, aka Brittany S Pierce from Glee,” breaking down all the clues that point to the actress.
These included the Smiley Face (shown in lipstick on a mirror), hinting at happiness or Glee, as well as the bowl of cereal, which could mean Cheerios, as in her cheerleading team on the show.
Another suggestion was that the World Tour referred to was the Glee Live Concert, while the talent show referred to the fact she competed on So You Think You Can Dance.
She also mentioned 40 Winks, which they said could be in reference to the fact that Heather scored a perfect 40 on Dancing With The Stars. She also said she is “not the Sharpest Tool in The Shed”, when her character Brittany was known for being a bit on the slow side.
There were also six cacti in the clue reel and Heather appeared in Glee for six seasons, The Masked Dancer fan noted.
Other fans believed it could be Michelle Visage under the mask, after Scissors sashayed across the dance floor.
The ITV show returned to screens earlier this month, with a fresh batch of celebrities displaying their fancy footwork.
This year's show sees a record number of 13 celebrities taking part in this series, with costumes including Pearly King, Pillar and Post – the first ever duo – and several more.
The show’s host Joel Dommett appeared alongside the judging panel of newcomer Peter Crouch, Davina McCall, Jonathan Ross and Oti Mabuse, who are tasked with guessing the celebrity identities.
