The supercar world has no shortage of absurdly powerful machines, but every once in a while, something comes along that takes a refreshingly different approach. The Kode89 is one of those cars. Unveiled at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance during Monterey Car Week, the latest creation from Ken Okuyama Cars looks like it escaped from an alternate reality where the 1980s and 1990s never ended.
The low-slung machine with edgy styling measures 181.5 inches (4,611 millimeters) long and 78.6 inches (1,996 mm) wide, but stands only 44.8 inches (1,139 mm) tall. There's a long, low body, a wide stance, and an intentionally uncluttered design that relies on shape rather than excessive aerodynamic trickery to make an impression.
