The Lost Outpost Event has gone live in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone Season 3, bringing a slew of free rewards to grind for, including a brand-new sniper rifle and an animated universal camo.
This one is a collection-based event that features RNG elements, meaning the rewards you get are randomly granted. Here’s a full breakdown of how it all works and how you can unlock everything from The Lost Outpost Event in BO7 and Warzone.

BO7 Lost Outpost Event start and end date
The Lost Outpost Event kicked off on April 7, 2026, at 12pm CT / 10am PT / 1pm ET / 6pm BST and will run until April 23. With over two weeks to complete it, there’s plenty of time to collect all the rewards if you stay consistent.
The event started early after Activision released a store bundle featuring a weapon blueprint for the Strider 300 sniper rifle, which is one of the rewards tied to the event itself.
How the Lost Outpost Event works in BO7 and Warzone
This is a collection-based event where you need to gather Beacons through eliminating enemies across BO7 Multiplayer, Zombies, Endgame, and Warzone, opening loot caches in Warzone, or finishing matches in Ranked Play. Beacons are easy to spot when they drop, thanks to their bright green glow on the ground.
Once you’ve collected enough Beacons, you can exchange them for Care Packages via the event page. These come in three tiers: 5 Beacons, 10 Beacons, 20 Beacons. Each Care Package contains a random reward, so progression depends partly on luck. After unlocking all available rewards, you’ll receive the mastery reward: an animated weapon camo that can be used across your weapons.

This animated camo requires opening all 20 Care Packages by using a total of 245 Beacons.
Fastest way to unlock rewards in The Lost Outpost Event
If you want to finish the event as quickly as possible, I highly recommend jumping into Casual Resurgence or Casual Battle Royale in Warzone. These modes are great for farming Beacons efficiently, with it being very possible to earn around 50 in a single session.
Because the Casual playlist includes bots, getting eliminations is much easier, and each one reliably drops Beacons. The maps are also filled with loot caches and Legendary boxes, especially Rebirth Island and Haven’s Hollow in Resurgence, giving you plenty of extra opportunities to stack up Beacons.
To speed things up, I suggest you play aggressively and make it a habit to open every supply cache you find. The more you eliminate and loot, the faster you’ll unlock all the rewards.
